convert from DIVX to data CD

how do i do it? do i need to convert the .avi divx files to another format before i burn to DVD? thanks

the easy way is to convert to dvd and then burn to a dvd with a program could convertxtodvd you can also join mutiple files and make a simple menu or anorther program winavi use goggle to find the programs hope this helps

AVIs are made (700 MB) because you can bur directly on a DATA CD and put them on a DVD player capable to read DivX.
But i you're planning to make a movie, you won't make a data CD. You'll make a DVD (again: read http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/).
