touch the case before touching a circuit board as that discharges the static electricity.

Here is exact Def

Oh and Building is a peace of cake even for people that aren't that good with computers.......Your motherboard comes with most instructions

It's just basically putting parts in your case and Motherboard.....

You also have to make sure all your parts are compatible with eachother

RAID is kinda confusing

Especially for a person just starting out...So i wouldn't recommend it

It is basically if you have multiple HDDs and want to set them up to act as one...Or something like that

In my opinion don't worry about it

Here is the DEF

Lol ok.

I know im asking soo many questions i really hope you dont mind.

But this is probably the most newbie question you will have ever heard but a few months ago i was looking inside a really old pc that was in the garage somewere and i was looking at the connecter the wires go into that plastic thing that keep them together when they plug into a component. Why couldnt i pull them out. I admit i was being a lil causcious because i really didnt wanna completly brake it but was i doing anything wrong??

Also ATM i have an:

PROC:

AMD Sempron 3000+

MOBO:

Asus A7v600-X

Ram:

Not 100% sure here but I know its corsair twin 512mb!

Video card:

Radeon X700 256MB

Now im fine with my case.. My HD.. My Screen... Mouse... Dvd drive.. Keyboard... Case

What could i do to really improve my system dramatically!!

Thanks a lot

P.s My PSU came with the case and i dont think its a good one.

And if you were wondering how did i get that computer if ive never build one myself then the answer is a friend build it for me!

Thanks alot
Alex

Yeah Lecsiy: You have to touch something to ground yourself so you will not damage your most precious components such as motherboard, cpu, harddrive, memory. Best way to ground yourself is to install psu first but don't screw into case yet, plug in ac and then touch the side of that. Also get some anti static wrist bands.

You on the right board to build a computer. I have been reading and gathering information on building a pc for over a year but just 6 weeks ago I built my first one. Not one problem except for the wndows installation-but that was because I didn't want to purchase a new disk.

My computer isn't fancy but I do love everything i have and my computer is the shit especially at night(with all the lights). I have a Biostar t-force 6100-939 mATX and it helps keep the overall ATX case cool. The mid tower ATX case has 4 outlets to exhaust out heat and I have three case fans so every time I touch the back of my case-cold air is always coming out.

I have 2gb of memory with red heatsinks. 250gb SATA 8mb SATA Western Digital. 2 NEC ND 3550a dual layer drives. No graphic card other than the onboard graphics. I have a 5.1 surround sound speakers and believe or not I have a wireless KB and mouse that I bought from Walmart.com for 14.99 and it works fine. Wouldn't be great for gaming but great for day to day Software tasks.
