Hey everyone, i have a modded slim ps2, and i happen to have alot of NTSC games. they all work just fine, the trouble is that i would like to play online and i get a dnas region error.
my questions are:
1. is there a machine id changer that will work on the slim version ?
2. will rebuilding and patching from NTSC to PAL will solve my problem ?
3. Have you guys have any other idea i havent thought about ?? (exept buying a NTSC console)
Unfortunately dan168 isn't entirely correct, if at all. If patched with a US Disc ID, then there'll be nothing wrong with the DNA$ code at all. Its your PS2's region. To answer your questions;
1. No there is not a Machine ID Changer for any PS2 of version 8 or above. That, obviously, includes the slim models. It's highly unlikely there ever will be one either.
2. No. Patching doesn't change anything physically about the game in the way you are thinking it does. The game will still be NTSC. Patching only adjusts the X & Y-Fix positions of the screen so that it displays properly on a PAL TV.
3. Nope. Your only solution(s) are to buy an older PAL PS2 v7 or below, then use the Machine ID Changer to change its region ID to a PAL/NTSC Hybrid. Or to buy an NTSC PS2.
you can use Swap Magic 3.6 can change the colour system (NTSC,PAL)
use video mode for those PAL game to ntsc(video mode to ntsc),
Press (SQUARE) although you can use X its advised that you use Square.
doesn't needed to be patch
actualy i have a multi-system TV so i dont have any NTSC or PAL problems, i just wanted to convert in order to avoid region problems via online gaming - but as i have been explained - the patching wont help with those matters...
