Read all of the consumer based reviews you can search for. Most commercial reviews are biased. Yes most Sony products are good, but don't let the name influence your decision. "Hi, my name is Scott, I am a former Sony addict." Yes I admit it. I hate to say it, But, "sob," there are ather brands. There I said it. I have a Dell HD LCD now, 1400.00 us. I'll never look back. Crutchfield is a good comparison site, but read the consumer ratings. What they push is not necessarily the best.

well i'm sold on the sony wega beside the fact that it cannot play 1080p. which is what blueray dvds and ps3 will be able to produce. so i'm looking into the sony sxrd. which is about 1000 dollars more US and an extra 8 inches larger. and from what i've seen in the stores the sony sxrds have the best picture. but in stores they aren't playing video games and watching dvds they got their stupid stuff playing that is supposed to show ya the difference. do you know of any other tvs that can produce a resolution of 1080p? i only know of the sony sxrds and some samsung dlp

I'm still paying for the Dell. I haven't looked into higher resolution, still getting over sticker shock. I know the, "stuff," I did like was 2500.00 and up. Ouch. Wait a year, new technology and 1000.00 cheaper.
