Disk reading problems!!!

I recently backed up a copy of Tourist Trophy and my PS2 does not want to read that disk at all...

I've tried everything:
I got new media, I currently use Sony's DVD-R.
I got DVD Decrypter
I have that DLL you need to enable the one interface I don't remember what its called.
I'm burning at the lowest speed possible (it defaults to 3.8x whenever I select 1x for some reason)
I even opened up my PS2 and cleaned the whole thing out with compressed air.

Every time the PS2 tries to boot the game it gives me a "Disk Read Error". Does that mean I need EVEN BETTER media???

I have a PS2 w/ a mod chip. Is there anything I need to do to the image itself to make it work (patches, etc.)?

The problem is your laser, its dying. You can try to adjust it, if that doesn't work, then its time for a new laser
