Hiiii
i have my mercury Intel 915 chipset with ac97 as sound driver.
i am not able to hear songs in both speakers .
i can hear it only in a single speaker.
(i.e)only one speaker is audible.
but if i connect it to the other port as rear speaker both the speakers are working good.
what could be wrong?
i have tried reinstalling the drivers but still i am not able to find a remedy for this.
Any suggestions would help...

have you tried configuring your speaker configuration settings. make sure it is set to the right amout of speaker. Also if you have some sound manager that came with your sound card (or motherboard if its onboard soundcard) play around with the speaker configuration. If none of this works try getting a new sound card.
