Well, I use Nero Vision 4 and lately there is a problem when I write after transcoding, the voice is always off from the video, its not the video because I check using Windows and it is fine. I don't want to save to hard drive as sometimes when I do that, it finishes after 2 hours and doesn't save all of it, only 2gig when it suppose to be 4 gig.

Sorry for double posting but someone has the same problem as me -
Quote: I know this is a post that has been done before, and believe me when I say I've read every post I could find about the problem Nero has, which is, that audio goes out of sync with the video a few minutes into the movie/tv show you've burned/transcoded.
I've tried every suggestion that I've seen on some of these other posts, disable smart encoding, etc. None of these has worked! Mostly what I'm doing is I have AVI files of tv shows, like Lost, and trying to burn them to DVD-Video using NeroVision. It seems no matter what option I choose, I still get the audio sync problem...so if there is anyone that has an actual solution to this problem, I would certainly appreciate it. I am very much open to other software options if there is no solution to Nero's problem, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
BTW, I'm using the latest version of Nero 7.....

If it's 7.2.0.3 that you are using I wouldnt let it near my computer.
I would uninstall it, run this clean tool
http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.htm and then install this version 7.0.8.2 available from here
http://www.filehippo.com click on Nero 7.2.0.3 and then select 7.0.8.2 for a bug free version.
I am not saying it will solve this particular problem but on checking logs lately I think you'd be wise to do so, Cheers.

Could you go through your process completely start to finish, including the type and specifics of the original files and how you edit and finally burn them.
You may be able to get around the file size problem by burning them to the image recorder. I have done that during testing and even when they played fine on the NV4 simulation, if a problem does exist, it will show up when playing back from the recorder.
I would have to guess it has something to do with encoding process. Perhaps the frame rate has been changed and it no longer matches the sound. You can find information about a file by opening it in recode or hold the mouse over the file in the file window when you are in the editing mode. Look at frame rate (fps), bitrate, type of sound, etc.

Well basically, I download the LOST Season 2 Files, they are all in .AVI format, I open up Nero, Create DVD Project, add the video files (usually 3 episodes on 1) then burn directly onto a DVD+R. (Verbatim Advanced Azo 8x MMC Dye). It never use to be like this until episode 16 and onwards. Maybe my Nero is for some reason skipping frames or droping them instead of keeping them which makes the voice go off. Is there any alternative DVD Maker

I really only have experience with NeroVision 4, but the problem there may come up in other areas. Since it concerns encoded frames rates, perhaps the files you use are being encoded using a different method. As I mentioned, check the fps setting and see if it is at 29.97 (or 25).
If you want to try, use NeroVision to export the files first and then use them to burn to see if it makes any difference. You may be able to burn directly from NeroVision 4, but you may have editing problems depending on which version you are using. And Nero 7.2.0.3b does have the bad version of NV4, as does the one before that.
I also did not mention it because I could not remember for sure, but what filing system are you using on your hard drives, NTFS or FAT32?
