Ok so I have swap magic 3.6 with the slide card. My ps2 was messing up with "no data" screens and I fixed it with a guide I saw on the web and while I was fixing it there was a part that told me to turn this little white gear clockwise and I did. I then burned kingdom hearts 2 to a Ridata ritek G05 dvd-r at 4x and when I tried it with the swap magic it didn't work the first but the second time it loaded up but it takes really really long to load when a new scene is loading. I tried it again because I didn't save it and now it doesn't load up and it stays at a black screen after I swap the swap magic with it. I waited for minutes and nothing happened. I ordered some taiyo yuden dvd-r 8x and will try it on that.

The white screw moves the laser. Might not want to do that again. Search post for swap magic 3.6 issues. More and more people new to using SM 3.6, "newly ordered disks." Are having boot issues.

No its a little white gear thats touching a metal thing and the guide says try putting a dot like a marker on its original spot and turn it once clockwise. Should I put it back to its normal spot?

I put it back and it made no difference. I tried using a dvd and the dvd worked. Also can I try the cd version? I want to try that out to see if it will work.

It's most likely your media. Try burning at 2-4x on those Taiyo Yudens and it should work. If not, then does your PS2 still load originals?
