Lately i'm having problems with torrents,not speed,but spyware-wise!
i've downloaded 2 public torrents of around 1,5 GB
and always after they are done dl,the problems started,i had the annoying winlogonhook trojan,and other stuff..
Now at that time i didn't have a firewall or antivirus running.
Now i have zone alarm,avg antivirus and spysweeper running in the background,will that prevent other stuff from coming through when i download torrents or can i take more security measures? Please help me out. Thx a lot!!
u dont need all those anti-virus programs and blcokers just get spyware doctor its the best it deletes ad-aware,spyware,torjans and more works on everything also it got number one rating of the year

better safe then sorry that's what i think,got zone alarm,avg,spysweeper,spywaredoctor and windows defender all running in the background,i'm sick of all this virus stuff....
i really dont understand why people surf the net without any anti-virus software.
there are plenty of people out there that just love to cause mischief and grief to others, not to mention there are plenty of free antivuruses out there
PestPatrol is the best out there for spyware and Ewido,you def. need a virus program AVG is a good free program if you dont want to pay for one an HJT is a must tool also.
Jurgennop, i would run "SmitfraudFix" to make sure you arent infected
Unzip it (folder named SmitFraudFix) to your desktop:
Open the folder SmitfraudFix and doubleclick smitfraudfix.cmd
Choose option #1 - Search by typing 1 and pressing "Enter"; a textfile opens and lists the infected files (if those exist)
(Some antiviruses recognises process.exe as a malware. It is not malware, it is a program that stops processes)
this stuff is for real and hard to get rid of you need to make sure your machine is clean run this and post the results at this thread
