All right ive seen it its 190 and comes with what appears to be a NDS Cart that does a PassME. They have stated on their site it runs emulators and homebrew for the DS, so my question is, if they allow it to have access to the ARM-9 Proccessor (thats the one for the DS right?) can it also load DS roms as well as GBA roms? If so Im so going to get one 4 Gigabytes is alot of games. I think maybe even all of them. Also does anyone know if roms work on WFC/Nintendo WiFi thx guys

I don't know about the running of roms as datel would probably want to keep clear of things like that.

But as for your question about roms on WFC they work fine, I've played Tetris, Metriod, Mario Kart (with hacked tracks) and Animal Crossing on it fine.

The thing is datel is nortorius for making products that help with hacking systems. Im sure many people know that. I know that it runs DS apps so it would seem hard for them to regulate wich it runs and I dont know if they would even want too since that would defintely be an underground selling point

Yes, but of most of the cases, it has been people using datels products in different ways that they were made for to accomplish this.

To run NDS roms, they need to be patched to work with the device they are put on, datels device probably won't come with the software to patch commercial games, however some third party will probably make a program to do this eventually.

So i think that although it can't play commercial DS roms yet, i will probably be able to in the near future.

Thats fine but I was under the impression all I would have to do is FlashME to make a new FW wich of course this device should allow then it will be able to run DS games from any port right? I know that I saw New Super Mario patched for GBA Cart or GBA Movie Player wich I assume is a way of playing them without flashme or PassME or wifiME am I right? Do you think this will at least allow for GBA roms? And I disagree, I think datel makes there products knowing their full potienal. I mean for the love of god they are pretty much bringing PassME and Flash Carts to gamestops/EBs. They know what they are doing

it uses moonshell for playing the videos:

With MAX Media Player for DS, you can play home brew software on your DS. With the free-to-download MoonShell application, for example, you can play your MP3 audio tracks, watch videos and view your JPEGs on your DS?s screen.

Why would you buy it, its expensive and it just uses moonshell.
you can also just buy an m3 or supercard, its much cheaper.
m3 also has a build in moonshell, and you can also run the newest version on it.

I agree with gunout, what happened to the nice interface for playing videos they had pictures of prior to release :-(

If they had included there own video software with the touch screen supported controls, I would of considered buying it...

the reason why I would go with this as apposed to any other is because the PassME card is just that a card not an adpater like the others, and its 4GB CF HD built in wich is pricey alone. So not only do you get a DS Cart PassME but a 4GB storage. I know it just uses moon shell but M3 is just an adapter not the actually storage ( i think it comes with a small amount but w.e)

i got a 2gb flash card m3 adapter slim and a passkey for 130 dollar if i would go up to 4gb i would spend about 160 dollar, thats still cheaper.

and you can always install flashme so you don't need to have any type of passkey device.

While that is true and from what Ive heard the Max Overload still isnt 100% The main reason this sparked my interest is because I assumed it would be sold in stores like gamestop and I work at a gamestop and could of gotten 15% off of it so like 27 USD off wich would make it 163 wich is a good price and I dont like buying things online that much cause you have to wait for delivery

Unfornutaley during the merger and changes and my Manger ASM and SGA all leaving on the same day I also bailed. But on topic I got the M3 works perfect. The roms work 100% (some may not work on the fast setting a couple tries is all you need though) and it has a built in moonshell with the latest firmware for music listening of OGG MP3 and WMA. And whatver video codec moonshell supports. I may have to delete a rom or two to test out the movie features

Supercard is outdated. The M3 is the best consumer based flash card as it works on all DS'es and Lites and GBAs. When the M3 first came out it was shotty and hit or miss but now its a very good tool. It actually has 99.9% success rates with roms. (Top Spin 2 US Doesnt work but EU does)Its just picky on wich cards work with it. PQI is the best brand to use and its cheap I got a 1GB for 40 from a store easily 30 to 35 online though. The SD Version of M3 is much smaller then the CF since CF cards are very large. My new mini M3 SD (not miniSD one) comes out like maybe 1mm. The CF comes out 1 or 2 cm.

Sweet thanks for the fast reply. Ill be getting a Gig CF setup for my lite after the week it comes out. Yea I saw the kingstons Ill look around for Pqi's.

What is the difference between Passcard V1-3? Also our the kingston Elite Pro 50x reliable? Im majorly gonna use this just for Music & possible video..highly just for music on the go.
