Hello,

I've got the latest version of Nero 7 and want to try the Nero Home app. Everything is installed but for some reason Nero Scout is not indexing any of my media file. In the Nero Scout options I've enabled it and chosen the directories. If I click the Scan Now button it does nothing - the indexing status just shows idle. Any ideas?

I have the same problem, i bought the program too and Nero scout did index my files but won't open up my hardrive to access my files. The store bought version either has bugs or I don't know what. Everyone seems to say upgrade to version 7.08.02. I haven't tried it yet but if you do let me know if it worked for you.

I'm using version 7.2.0.3b and I'm still having the problem. Least yours seems to have got a bit further than mine - it has indexed something. Maybe it'll work in the next version!

This version of Nero is buggy, I would recommend you uninstall it, run this clean tool,http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then install this bug free version
http://www.filehippo.com click on Nero 7.2.0.3 and then select 7.0.8.2 for a bug free version

Question for you Gwen, do I still need to install the program that I bought and then install version 7.08.02? How does this work? Or can I install from the link you provided and then just enter my cd key?

If your serial key relates to an OEM version I dont think so. If you have purchased the Full version then you can download from link provided and then insert serial key.
Either way it's worth a try, do you know which version you have

Actually i don't know which one i have, how can i tell? I bought the program so i own it but I had problems so I just downloaded off a link from here and inserted my key number.

Thats fine if you wish you can do the following to ensure you have 7.0.7.2. Uninstall your version, run this clean tool
http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html

and re install from link provided.
