I know alot of people have had difficulty burning this game as its dual layered. unfortunately i am having a problem burning it too iv followed alkohols guide in this discussion board and the game boots but freezes on the ployphony digital screen.
Im using swap magic 3.6 and ri data dvd-r
Any Help
this is the first game iv really had difficulties with besides star wars battlefront 2

if all your other copies work then i would say that you know what your doing. Even if others worked on those disc this game may not due to it being so big and graphically intense.
But you may want to search for another guide or even a patch

thanks steimy i will give those guides a go.
Done 3 copies so far using alkohol guide first two booted then when blank 3rd one like i said froze on the polyphony digital screen

I have the same problem as well after rebuilding my GT4 (PAL version), what I do is I press X when its about to come up (it'll display a white screen, then soon after the polyphony digital screen follows - or you can just repeatedly press the X button until the game goes into the main menu) to skip it. In the game you can set it to skip that screen (in GT mode: go to Home, then Settings, and have a look around, there's something in there, I can't remember exactly what its called though)
What version is your GT4, and how much did you reduce the videos when you rebuilt it?

My version is also the PAL version i reduce the videos by 50% as it says in the guide.
Its also the official game and not a download

Yeah that's exactly what I did. I'm guessing by the fact that this is the first thread I've seen on this topic, its probably a problem with the PAL version when its rebuilt (I got the original too), otherwise people with the NTSC version would be posting all over the place about this if there was a problem with rebuilding :p
I guess you just have to skip the intro part, if you want to see that you can always use the original disc anyway.

am i able to make a straight copy of this game if i have a dual layer dvd burner? or is there some issues and it still needs to b rebuilt???

That depends on what modchip you have, you'll need one that can boot dual layer discs in order to boot copied dual layer games

Does Swap Magic 3.6 boot dual layer DVD's ? I tried the "Winhex" method, and it didn't work. The first screen booted up, but that's all that happened.
I am going to make a new way tomorrow. If it works, I'll let you know.

have dms4 ezi pro which does boot dual layer back ups however i havnt been able to copy it n burn a workin copy i used dvd decryptor to copy it to my hdd then DVD Decrypter to burn it however wen i go to burn the iso it corrects me to use the .mds file is this right?? im usion Nero 7. shud i just doubleclick the .iso image in my c:/ dir n use Nero to burn it instead of goin thru dvd decryptor???

I have a Matrix Infinity which also boots DL back ups. I did a 1:1 back up just using DVD Decrypter. I had the same problem with the MDS file but I manually chose the ISO file and made a back up from there.

With DVD Decrypter you use the MDS file
with any other program you select the ISO file.
The TOxicOS has the dual layer support built in so you never have to use the Toxic DL Patcher. That is for people with outher chips.
If all else fails just download the copy that is already fixed to work with DVD5, or the DVD9 copy.

can anybody tell me how to put gt4 cheat on to my game shark i have the gameshark 2 just bought it on saturday and it doesnt hae gt4 or tony hawks american wasteland cheats anyone know how i can find the cheats and put them on my gameshark and have them work? please help i would appreciate it very much oh and im not very good with gamesharks
how do i know when the cheat has been activated when its highlighted and blinking or not highlighted

i cant figure out how to put them on my game shark i have the game shark 2 media player thing it came with this wierd wire in the box that looks like i connect it to my internet jack in my computer or something but i dont know
and i cant find where it says how to put them on yur gameshark and there is like a million different codes for each thing which ones do i use can some one help me please
