Nero : Adding Video Files to Burn

After a few weeks of hassle free operation, I'm having trouble adding video files on my hard drive to burn to DVD. Before, when I selected the "Add Video files" option in the "Make your Own DVD Video" option, a large window would open and I could search through my folders/files to select whatever I wanted to burn. For some reason, this window has changed...I now get a smaller window opening after selecting the "Add Video" and this is asking for location,file name and files of type. I cannot get past this window no matter what I select. ..really frustrating. anyone else have this problem? Thanks in advance for any help.

I have the same problem as you. It worked for awhile and then poof it won't work. The only way you can add your video files that i know of is by clicking and dragging the file onto Nero vision. Maybe one of the Afterdawn addicts can help us and explain what the problem is???????!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Ducky88.. I cant even access any of the Video files I have on the hard drive from the small window I spoke about. I'm getting really pissed with this. I've been told that Nero can be tempremental...great when it works, but sometimes....AAARRGGGHH!!

I have the same problem with you all. I can't add video file
to the compilation. I tried and the program hangs and the does not respond. I was able to do this fine a few weeks ago.
I any of you find the solution, I would like to know.
It's quite frustrating.

Which version of Nero are you using, 6 or 7, and which version of that Program...example 6.6.0.18 or 7.0.8.2 or similar.

don't think there's been a response thats explained whats going on here. Looks like we've got a bad version of Nero. Like you , everything was working fine with me, then it went .

I am using Nero version 6, nerovision express 2?
It worked fine the past but past few days it decided to stop and I have not done anything to the computer.
I did antispy scan/antivirus scan, update windows SP 2, still no prevail

OK now we've established that you are using Nero6, which version of Nero6 are you using.
Can you post your last Nero log file from here
Nero 6 history log location: Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt

Is it what you are looking for? C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero StartSmart\NeroStartSmart.exe"
I got this info by right click the Nerostartsmart icon.
On the disc, it says 6.00W. NeroVision Express 3
I did not get an error message so I did not have a log file. I tried to add video file to compilation and the mouse freezes, the page turns blank, and task manger says "not responding" and I have to close Nero right away.
Thanks for being patient with me. hope you can help.
