I am using verbatiam 16x discs, aren't they supposed to burn at 16x?

Although you have good quality Verbatim discs it is recommended to burn at half disc speed, generally it is recommended by most at AD to burn at 4X to prevent burn failures....believe me it DOES make a difference.
