Problem with mp3's to audio CD, doubling length of original track

Here's a good one for ya's.

If I try and burn an audio CD with Nero using mp3's, they are shown in Nero as being twice as long as they actually are, i.e. if I look at the file properties in Nero they have an equal length of silence on the end as they have music, this doesn't happen with any of my other music software, Traktor DJ, Adobe Audition 1.5.

This ONLY happens with mp3's, not with wma's

I've tried 4 different versions of Nero, and un-installed between each one using the clean up tool, but they are all doing the same. I'm now thinking it's something external to nero but I don't have a clue what !

I'm running XP (legit and fully updated) on a Sony Vaio FX501 laptop, 1Ghz, 512 RAM, currently I have Nero Ultra 7.0.8.2 installed, with all the rubble that I wouldn't use not installed. This is a recent format and clean Windows install, and I didn't have this problem before the re-install. Nero has previously worked perfect for me for years.

Anyone able to help me with this ??

I downloaded all the updates using the Nero Update tool, I'm now on version 7.3.0.2. but still have the same problem.

I've been fiddling around with it for a while now, and I've found that it's ONLY mp3pro files, standard mp3's work OK.

Problem is, all my music is encoded as mp3pro :(

all my audio cds copied with Nero 7 used to skip until i changed the mp3 pro dll file to an older version.
the mp3 pro dll file version i am using is 2.0.0.11.
