Hey there. I have a 1500 broadband connection, i get the green light on Bittornado as i have the port forwarded, i have the RTA100+ modem. The thing is though, when im downloading something with any torrent client all of a sudden i will see my msn messenger go offline and my torrent speel drop to 0. Most the time i sit on 30-60kb/s....which is ok, even though with my conenction when going of a site server to download something i sit on 150+ kb/s. I just want to know why my interent drops out and if anyone has a way to help....thanks

Hi its probably one of two things:

1. Your modem tends to overload when theres lots of activity, this happened recently when I got a Sagem delivered with my Tiscali broadband connection so I dug up an old Thompson Speedtouch 330 and downloaded a driver with the same VIP/VOP attributes and this works perfectly when I use the assigned username and password I got given.

2. This is the more common if your using Utorrent go to
options,
preferences,
torrents,
where it says maximum number of connections (my default is a figure at around 450) reduce this by half and get a well seeded torrent that will max out your download and then keep on increasing this figure by 25 until your connection disconnects then reduce this figure by 25 to 50 tobe on the safe side.

If your not using Utorrent this optin will be available it might just be that its harder to find.

Hope this helps. :)
