I need help making a decision. I have two hdd installed in my computer (80 and 120). Should I just get an external hdd (160) or should I just get a internal hdd (320)and just transfer my files? Thanks in advance!

it is possible for you to install a third hdd, as long as you have an extra ide slot on your mobo. parallel IDE channels can only do two drives, so if you only have one optical drive (CDROM/DVDROM) drive, then yes you can install a third hard drive, making four total. if you already have four devices, you can also get a PCI ide card, which can have for more drives separate from the mobo.

I personally would recommend an internal drive for several reasons. First, they are much cheaper. They are more reliable, and the data transfer rate is much faster. So unless you want to make your data portable, then stick with internal.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

Yeah I kind of perfer the internal drive too. I was looking at a 160gb hdd. If I was to go with the ide card I would probably be at the same cost around $130.

I was thinking of upgrading my mobo but I'm not quite sure yet. I currently have the Asus p4s8x-x with 1gb of memory, 200gb hdd, and a Radeon X850. I have a good amount of media and I play alot of games. So I just wanted to get an opinion on which Asus mobo should I get or should I stay with my current mobo?
