I suppose if games aren't being played you could get great performance with any basic integrated chipset.

OK!!,job done.
Here's some pics.
The mainboard stripped down with just memory and cpu installed:
Big typhoon installed:
Reassembled ready to go!!
Notice the eyebolt I installed at the top of the pc case to allow cable tying of all the cables.I will start doing some benches tonight!!Temps will improve over the next 50-200 hours so probably won't get a final result for a few weeks.
Haven't flashed the bios yet.I'll run some benches first with this bios then flash so I can make comparisons.

Here's a start:
Memory is 1 to 1 with fsb so currently @DDR 570.Timings still at stock.
Sandra is showing wrong command rate of 2T as usual,CPUZ showing correct 1T command rate.
Going to flash the bios now,back soon.

I'm happy with it Sam,
Just reflashed to the TCCD optimized 704-3 bios.
We've got storms here at the moment so glad there wasn't a powercut half way though the flash!

Here are the temps both cores @stock speeds at idle with the cpu slightly undervolted.Room temp is 20 degrees.
I'll run prime now for 20 mins.In large place FFT'S for maximum heat.
As I gradually start to crank everything up I'll do some more temp benches too.

Lol I was nearly banned for having that opinion, and I didn't say it in anywhere near as loud a manner as that. They're far from crap, but you rarely see above 50/60% performance increase for your doubling of cost.
