Was wondering if anyone has any advice or has encountered this problem before. Ive been using apollo dvd for months with no problem. Lately my movies have been "scrambled" near the last 10 minutes of the disc. Have even encountered this when the compression rate is at 90% or better. Ive tried other software programs (clone dvd and anydvd) and had the same problem. Does this sound like a problem with my dvd drive? I have burned about 250 discs on this drive. Any ideas on what has gone wrong would be appreciated. Thanks.

You appear to be burning to close to the edge of the DVD. Try reducing the size to 4300-4600...depending on the software you are using.

Thanks bilbo :D

I reduced the disk size from 4700 to 4300 and just successfully burned a disk (although it did act up during the ending credits).

Funny how it wasnt a problem before??? Wonder if a bought a bad quality brand of disks this time around??

Anyways...thanks again!

Usually poor quality discs tend to have more of these types of problems. Save yourself some future headaches and use quality media such as Tys and Verbs.....Good Burning!!!

As Bilbo said he meant Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim are the best out there. I have used Sony or Maxell if you cannot get the others, but you should be able to watch the paper and get verbatim which is what I use. Best Buy had an ad this sunday. A 50 pack of verbatim for $15.00. and that is a great buy..... Good luck.

Thanks to both for your input. This was the first time i had encountered problems since ive been burning (little less than a year).....just figured all disks were created equal. Wish i would have come in here a couple months ago...would have saved me alot of frusteration!! I actually gutted my computer of all programs i rarely use just to free up space on my hard drive...thinking that might help. Sheeeeeesh....
