I downloaded a PS2 game, DDR max - Dance Dance Revolution 6th Mix, and after extracting the files, I have a bin and cue file. How do I know if I should burn it on to a CD or DVD? Also, in order to burn it in Nero Burning ROM, I click on Recorder>Burn Image right?

Quite simple; bin & cue = cd, iso = dvd. Also, by the size; under 700Mb = cd, 701Mb+ = dvd

Quote: iso = dvd
Not quite... iso can be CDs...
Quote: 700Mb = cd, 701Mb+ = dvd
Again, that is only true in some cases. You get DVDs smaller than 700mb (not often), and there are 800mb CDs

With Nero, just go to open on the bottom of the screen, select the .cue file, and burn it onto a cd (or dvd)

i had one called "The Italian Job" that i just burned to DVD that was only 350MB
But my Xbox may not play CD's so i did not want to waste one.
But i agree, if it is a bin/cue file you have then get a CD burning program like Nero.
Go to the CD options at the top tab of Startsmart.
The use the image burner (will have an icon that looks like a disc with a match on fire over it) and use that to burn the cue file to a CD.

Thanks for the help, but I have a question about the burning image thing. When I go to burn the image, and I open the file I get something that says a box that is titled "Foreign Image Settings". When I click ok, it says that, "The entered block size does not correspond to the image length. I can click ignore, but will it still work right?

the official Nero webpage has plenty of tutorials that explain all of its functions. I would start by reading those. I have burned cue files with Nero a few times but have no clue about the box you just mentioned as it has never poped up on me.

Make sure the bin/cue files both have the same name.

The files appear to be a CD. I can't seem to open up the cue file with Nero, but I can open the bin file, which brings up the settings thing I mentioned before

Make sure the cue file is pointing towards the bin file by dragging the cue into a blank Notepad txt file. The name of the bin should be there as named on your HDD

Did the whole cue file thing, and it was indeed a different name. This isn't the first time I had that happen. I'll burn the game as soon as I get my PS2 back. Thanks a lot

Glad you got it working then. That happens quite a lot, the cue file can't lead to the bin because the file name it is linking to is missing :)
