Hi,

I'm new here ... I checked out some rebuild faqs ... their are good made and answerd some questions I had.
My mature problem I have a game downloaded for my son. There is this ntsc with y-fix nad pal bootloader on it from jayteemaster2003. The thing is either me or my son can see the full screen of the game. it is kinda anyoing because he cant follow the whole menu because the text is cut off (we are germans). My english is good so I can follow what they say.

So is there a chance to get rid of the bootloader ... I'm sorry to say but by that game it brings nothing :-( it just messed up the menu.

If anyone has an idea would be good to hear.

Thanks FroGEater

That program he included NTSC with Y-Fix is usually used to fix those problems if it is a patch. Did the download come with a read me text file? those usually tell you what you need to do. Or someties it is an NFO file that you open up with notepad.
If you load your games with Swap Magic, and you get a game from a different region than your PS2 then they often have a little screen cut off at the bottom.

Like if you have a US console (NTSC) and the game id a PAL game
You can try using a program to convert the game, or try switching the screen mode on the main swap magic screen from the default "normal" to either PAL or NTSC and see if either of those fixes it.

thanks for your help steimy.

I downloaded an iso file there was no txt with some infos.

My ps2 is modded ... there is the Matrix Infinity chip inside.
Never had problems befor ... not with PAL or NTSC games both working fine. This game is now the first that made problems.

The game I downloaded is multilingual. But it wont fit there are 3 option I could choose and all are not very good not to say very useless.
I have 100Hz Screen so NTSC is no problem for my screen.

As it looks it is a PAL game ... so is there a option to fix it?

In my eyes the bootloader isn't usefull for PAL games. There is no need to fix it for NTSC ... PAL works with 50Hz and NTSC with 6oHz. So PAL works automaticly on NTSC or 100HZ screens.
