Hey, i got a question... i got alot of mixed answers on this one, but i wish to know if anyone here know for sure.

I have PC-3200 DDR (400MHz) Kingston 512 MB RAM, and i was wondering, if i bought & Installed:
PC2 - 4200 DDR2 (533MHz) Kingston 1 GB RAM, would it mess up my system (Im not replacing the older stick, im putting it in WITH it)? or should i just stick with my original 400MHz DDR?

You cant have 2 sticks running at different speeds. The mobo will run both sticks at the speed of the slowest stick installed. Its best practice to use the same speed/type of ram to prevent any issues.

Hey, if I read your post correctly, you want to install PC24200 DDR2 in a DDR slot. It wont fit!!! You cant mix memory Technologies. Stick with the PC 3200 DDR or Buy a board that supports DDR2.
