Could be wrong but I'm not aware of utorrent doing searches. Go to a site like ts.kurtubba.com, do a search and then download the file, saving it anywhere you want. Then, go there and open the file and utorrent will start your download. With utorrent, don't keep both downloaded files in the same folder

uTorrent is not a client that searchs for torrents. You have to belong to a public or private tracker. Select the torrent you want to download, place the file where you want on your hard drive then open the file depending on what format it came in.

I'm using utorrent and the fastest it gets is about 100kb.

I thought that torrents were some special thing that had extremely fast downloads.was i mistaken? If i wasn't how do i boost my torrents(i heard you can get them to 1300kb) without going through guides that to me seem incomprehensible.

PS:Please do not give me links to the stickied guides cause they just don't help or they're unintelligible.

Thank you for any help.:)

@micks, just type in whatever ur lookin 4, choose 1 of the site (i.e. mininova, click search and a browser will open with ur results)

@bunny_c - 100Kbps (i assume u meant Kb, not kb) is pretty good, the fastest speeds i have ever gotten was 200Kb (didnt last very long)

Download speeds are determined by the # of seeders and leechers (the more the better), ur upload speed (u gotta give to get, i put it around 100Kb max, works great), and of course, ur DSL or Cable modem.

Take a speed test, which is option in utorrent, and use those as a starting point when configuring Utorrent.
