I have downloaded an ISO version of Halo(PC). And I would like to transfer it onto CD. If I split the file will it still be bootable
after I burn it to disk?

Can't help you, because you said you downloaded it.

The only thing I'll say to you is: read the .nfo, it will tell you what to do.

you don't have to split it. just buy a 90 min/800mb CDROM. I've never seen them in stores, but I get my from allmediaoutlet.com

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

Nah, doubt it.

I figure it's a halo iso w/ the xpac maps added in. I'm sure if it was extracted properly, it wouldn't need special discs. Not all burners/readers support overburn anyway.

But I'm still not going to help you, because you said you downloaded it.

And, actually, to answer your question about "Bootability", if the iso itself is bootable, it'll burn bootable, that's a nice thing about the iso format.

well if it is over 700mb, then you would need a larger disk to burn to. and using a 800mb disk isn't overburning. overburning is putting more data on a standard 700mb disk. a 800mb disk stores more data, and burns just like regular disks...no overburning.

What I meant, is that there are probably 2 sets of files.

The actual game.

And then the "downloadable" maps, which do NOT go on the original CD, you install them separately. Although he said it's an ISO, but it's probably not an iso that is intended to be burned, only mounted. I've never seen a scene release that wasn't easy for anyone who knew what to look for.

And you're right about the 800mb cd's, but...I wouldn't bother to order different, more expensive cd's. I'd just not seen them before.

If I were he I'd look for one of the 450mb distributions that gives full MP but no SP, that's specifically for lan parties.
