psu for system..help plz

Hey, i put together this system and im gonna buy it soon but i cant decide what psu is best for a system like this, i was gonna go with the Ultra X2 550-Watt Modular Power Supply, but im doubting whether it will provide efficient power and not overheat or somthin...heres the specs:
-AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+
-Asus A8N 32-SLI-Deluxe NVIDIA Socket 939 ATX Motherboard
-XFX GeForce 7900 GTX / 512MB GDDR3
-Corsair 2Gb XMS3500 TwinX Matched Low Latency Pro Series (TWINX2048-3500LLPRO)
I dont really know much or have time to search haha, so if anyone can help, it would really be appreciated =)

Main System- Amd/64 3800x2 currently@ 2.5ghz. Asus A8N-E,win.xp-pro.4x1gb.Ocz platnium ddr 400,Maxtor 40gb.& 250gb.ide & 2x W.D.250 sata,Benq 1650V dvd Reader & Benq DW-1655 Writer,EVGA Geforce 7600gs,Creative Audigy-LS,Antec 750w psu. Vizio 37"hdtv monitor 1360x768@75hz.

wow, i have almost the EXACT same specs as you in your system~ :)
AMD x2 4400+ cpu, that identical ASUS mobo, same gpu (video card), however currently i swapped it out to run 2 dual cards in SLI (i can't afford 2 7900gtx, so u can imagine)...the only thing different is the memory, the Corsair is WONDERFUL stuff, but i'm using OCZ Platinum at this time (LOL, i got a good deal on it after rebate) :)
as to the psu, i'm CURRENTLY using an Enermax Liberty 500w modular powersupply, it handles EVERYTHING perfectly, however, i have used the Ultra x2 550w in 2 of my other builds in the past, with outstanding results... :)
the Antec psu that boxwrench suggested is also a good choice, i've just had TOO MANY DOA psu's from Antec LATELY, that's why i stopped using them, i was a big fan of Antec PSUs for many years prior :) given, my recent defective Antec psu's were NOT the higher-end ones, i had a Smartpower 2.0 400w that was defective right out of the box AND a Smartpower 2.0 450w that was included in the Antec Sonata II case i bought that was DOA factory installed in that case. so, basically, 2 RMA's within the last 6 months which left a bad taste in my mouth...i'm confident that the TRUEPOWER 2 line is quite solid and very high quality, but once bitten, i learn from MY mistakes :) i guess the lower end "Smartpower" units are not that good, the Truepower line is "better" and the "Neopower" line are the "best" from Antec's offerings :)
personal opinion, i THINK you can discern which psu's by Antec are "good" based on the different lines i mentioned above. naturally, unless there is a sale on a particular unit, you get what you pay for~ :)
i've used all 3 "lines" of Antec psu's...hence, my experience with them above...i won't ever spend money on a Smartpower line again...i used a Truepower 480w on a friend's computer, worked great, no issues/problems to this day; and the new NeoPower NeoHE 550w psu on a friend who is a hardcore "gamer" and it has served his purpose VERY well, plenty of power for all his gaming needs, VERY good psu unit in MY OPINION. :)
so, that's my recommendations based on ACTUAL usage of the aforementioned PSU's, as mentioned, i'm currently using the Enermax Liberty, found here:

it's a good looking modular unit and it does the job well on my SLI setup, all my other components are IDENTICAL to yours (except my choice in memory, but your choice is actually "better" than what i currently use) hehe :)

Do not skimp on the power supply, There have been threads here, about Computers that would not boot etc that were traced back to a poor power supply. I am using a 465 watt supply, I am getting psu envy looking at your 550 watt psu, LOL

bottom line: don't skimp on your power supply selection, you will be thankful in the long run/future upgrades :)
ie. don't buy some cheap $49.95 special by some no name brand that ALSO produces children's toys out of China, but want to expand their market by producing powersupplies now. LOL

Wow, i havent checked back to all the responses in a while...but thanks for all ur suggestions, i really appreaciate it :)
I checked out the Antec power supply..pretty impressive good on the price too. I found the "Seasonic S12-600 600W ATX12V v.2.0 Power Supply" Link: http://www.pccanada.com/viewitem.asp?id=3963 and apparently its really quiet and reliable which is what i im looking for, kinda expensive but i would pay haha.
I was wondering kivory666 what 2 video cards did u replace the 7900 with? cause it is expensive and i was thinkin if i buy 2 cheaper ones and run em in sli theyll be just as good.
