if anyone is in australia what is the best media to buy in: Big W, Target, K-Mart or tandys and dick smith my ps2 doesnt like DVD-R so i need +R

I'd avoid the TDK discs as I've heard they are going downhill (in NZ anyway - I guess over in oz you guys prob get the same shipment of DVDs as we would here)

Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim, can't go wrong with those. Also try to get the 8x as lots of people seem to have problem with the 16x. and 8x should be cheaper anyway. Remember to burn at 4x MAX

Some PS2 do not have a problem with the TDK and others will.
I used about 25 of them and had no problems but i do not trust their reliability. But my friend uses them all the time.
Verbatim is your best choice, Philips have worked great for me.
Sony or Maxcell if you can find one's that are made in Japan.
Or you can just buy some Taiyo Yuden discs from an online store that ships there.
