Hi all!
After purchasing an Omni DX-4300 and finding lack of information, I decided to help you guys on afterdawn.com... so ya, I wrote a short review of the omni dx-4300 if any of you wanna buy it
As I am 13, i do not know the exact stats, but i'll describe it from a teen's point of view
--- Stats ---
Look - silvery... got omni on the top, stingy label.. err.. umm display is alright, the cd tray is see through plastic (yay)
What it plays:
It plays all my PrisonBreak, Lost, Movies, hasn't not played anything.. really good, don't have to watch on comp! yay... but yeah it is really good, nothing has gone wrong.. aka... it plays divx, xvid mpeg, avi etc.. but it doesn't play .rm/.rmvb format <--- realmedia... it wouldnt have that good quality anyway so yeah.
It can support up to 16x DVD burning, i dunno why that is a factor, just heard some divx players couldnt play it that fast. It can play my 320 bitrate audio files and massive video files, i don't know if it supports a dual layer disk, it should though.
Look- layout
the menu isn't really that great, could have been better though, still works.. green and yellow... i mean could have been aussie colours but no....
OH YEAH! if u wanna noe how to get rid of those numbers on the top left, press OSD a few times and keep going until it says display: off.
You can buy it from strathfield for $89 and get 2 yrs warranty for 10 bucks which i thought was worth it... so yeah it is a budget but very good player
NOTE: It did not zoom any of my avi. files, just like check at first, if that is a factor for you, don't buy it. I'm perfectly fine with it. I'll add more detail later cuz i have to go rite now >_<
