Don't use devhook if you don't want to. I avoid it if at all possible.
just do what I said in the last post. In order for the daxziso method to work, you need to get the runumd.pbp. I posted a link to it on my last post and also told you where you needed to put it. Run Daxziso in Runumd direct mode and follow all the directions above and it will work; I promise.

No thats not why, you got it right, the EUR patch will definitely not work with your US iso... if all else fails try enigmas theory, should work for you.

Ok I have it working...sitting in my lap now...
First I used the AMERICAN PATCH .ppf file..i saw it on the website somewhere...then I used the umdgen and patched it and created a iso file NOT .dax...
I then used devhook to mount it and it will prevent the freeze ups at the loading screen but u will get a error like datafailed...its normal and just push o.....it works...it really does
hey can someone help me put an image here?

You can try it with that. But my guide posts a link to the newer version (0.42a)
Just check the link to my guide that I posted above, it tells you exactly how to get the ISO. (Remember start with an untouched ISO).

Just follow my guide! I haven't posted it on Afterdawn
Here I'll quote it for you:
Quote: Running 2.5+ ISOs
Written by Eternalis
Saturday, 08 July 2006
So you have just obtained a fresh untouched firmware 2.5+ requiring ISO and you want to know how to run it?
Well you've come to the right place. Today I will explain how you run firmware 2.5+ requiring ISOs using DevHook.
Some ISOs work untouched with DevHook. That means you do not have to do any editing to the ISO. Just copy it to a folder called "ISO" in the root of your memory stick, set-up DevHook (using this pack:http://rapidshare.de/files/24990226/DevHook_0.42_ENG.zip.html ) and run DevHook and thats it. Always check if your ISO works untouched before beginning any editing/fixing.
If your ISo doesn't work untouched then you will have to fix it. You will have to replace the PRXs (if you don't know what these are, check my introduction to ISOs:) with those from the game Street Raiders (or some other game N.B- most games work with the PRxs from Street Raiders).
To do this you will need:
-UMDGen (download the latest version from here: http://www.umdgen.com )
-The Street Raiders PRXs (download them from here: http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/7/6/113348/PRXs/Street_Raiders/... )
-The ISO that you want to fix on your hard drive
-And ofcourse, DevHook to run the ISO after you finish fixing it. Download the DevHook pack from here: http://rapidshare.de/files/24990226/DevHook_0.42_ENG.zip.html
Here are the instructions (step-by-step)
1.Download and install UMDGen (check above for the link).
2.Open up your ISO using UMDGen.
3.There should be a navigation box on the right, which you use to go to specific locations in the ISO. Navigate to PSP_GAME\USR_DIR\ . You should see something like this:
http://eternal-psp.a22.biz/images/2.5_iso-1.JPG 4.The location of PRXs is unique to every ISO, so search all the directories in USR_DIR to find any PRXs. They are usually in two folders called module and kmodule.
5.Write down the names of any PRxs you can find.
6.Extract the Street Raiders PRXs onto a location on your hard disk.
7.Find all the PRXs that have the same names as the ones which you wrote down before.
8.Replace the PRXs in the ISO with the ones which have the same name (from the Street Raiders pack) by selecting
the files you want to replace, and then right-clicking and selecting "Replace Selected".
Then select the ones in the Street Raiders Pack and click OK.
9.Then click File-->Save and then save it as [GAME NAME]_fixed.iso for reference (where [GAME NAME] is the name of the game which the ISO contains).
10. To run the ISO, set DevHook (see above for the link) and turn on your PSP, insert a UMD, and go to Game-->Memory Stick. Then scroll down to DevHook and select it. DevHook should start. Use these settings:
TARGET (reboot XMB )
UMD-ISO ms0:/ISO/[NAME OF ISO].iso
UMD-MODE ISO ANYUMD
UMD ver. no change
FLASH ms0:/dh/250(MS HOOK)
CLOCK {this can be anything, however 330/166 is required for some games}
Press X and your ISO will run!
For some games you need to decrypt the eboot.bin as well, to find out how to do this check my previous ISO guide:
http://www.eternal-psp.a22.biz/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=6
Hopefully this has helped you run some of your new ISOs,
Check back soon for more guides!

By untouched ISO, I mean an ISO that has not had it's PRX's replaced/decrypted and its EBOOT.BIN decrypted.

It might, try running it without fixing first.
If it doesn't work, you will need to fix it.

Do you mean in the ISO?
Go to PSP_GAME\USR_DIR\ and look everywhere in that folder for PRXs. They have to be there.
