I am just curious as to whether anyone knows of a place where you can download FREE MP4s for the 5g ipod. I have found that it takes to long to rip a dvd to my hard drive usin dvd decrypter, then converting it with xillesoft ipod to video. Thanks to all who contribute.

Is it piracy to download a copy of a movie that you already own. Cause i could be wrong and I probably am, but I don't think it is piracy when you own a legitament copy. Also, I have heard of bittorrents and I also have found that it takes too long to download anything in size. Also, i have a hard time trying to find the particular file. Any recommendations?

why would someone ever download a movie they already own? why not just it up to begin with. How fast you dl torrents are based on your connection and how many peers/seeders there are but it would be against the law to inform you on this subject matter

are you american, english, or french? Cause then it is illegal to download anything, even if you own it, unfortunately ;)
Do you have a fast internet connection?
How long is too long to rip and convert?

Not Amarican. And as to english or french, i dont see how it matters, but i am english with a slight bilingualism in french (thanks grade school:P) I think it is crued that it is illigal to download whether you own it or not. Then again it is probly difficult to track. Anyways, i have cable inteernet. It takes 10 to 15 miutes to make dvd one chapter and approximatley 1 to 2hrs to convert one movie at one time to mp4.

In response to joniskaos it is much easier to dl several movies I already own from the internet rather than make it one chpater and convert it. Also, it frees up a lot of cpu power so you can do other things than just dled or convert movies. My ipod is 30gb and i intend to fill it with all copies of purhcased movies that i own. (in the shortest amount off time)

Ps... i dont care if bilingualism is a word or not.

its actually easier to convert it straight to .mov than to dl it. Use CloneDVD mobile it does it all for you at one time. And while you dl it will make anything that uses banwidth to lag the movie your dling so take my advice and go with CloneDVD mobile its a one hit KO

If you are going to convert a DVD, I would suggest either PQ DVD or Cucusoft DVD to iPod Converters. They are both great applications that are great investments. ;-)
