can ayone help me please, i get the above msg when using nero(it also appears when using other software burning tools such as dvd decrypter and VSO version 1.99 (although new VSO converttodvd2 burns ok, but this is trial version with watermark)but i prefer to use nero and cant get around this problem!!!

Depends which version of Nero you are using. Run one of these clean tools
Nero7 Clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html
Nero6 Clean Tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/InCD_CleanTool.html

and install one of these versions Nero6
http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

Package 2
http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe


Nero7 http://www.filehippo.com click on Nero 7.2.0.3 and then select 7.0.8.2 for a bug free version

Hi i ran neroclean tool for Nero 6 and now it is working fine! burning with no problems

I'm so happy that I found this post. I have struggled to reinstall Nero 7 so many times but it's not working for me. After I ran the clean tool and reinstall Nero 7.0.8.2 everything is working great for me now. Many many thanks to gwendolin and all.

What is the lastest software update from Nero, 7.0.8.2, or what?

I have ran the clean tool which uninstalled my Nero 7 and executed the update which reinstalled Nero 7. Am I now up-to-date, how do I check?

Version 7.0.8.2 is the last known "Stable" version. There are later versions available but these are NOT recommended due to bugs.

Gwendolin,
I am also having fatal error problems with Nero 6 Ultra version 6.6.0.8 but am leery to run the Nero 6 cleaner because a web site cautioned that it will also remove plug-ins that might be needed by other programs. Is this factual or am I safe in running said cleaner? I'm new to AfterDawn so if this is a dead link I appologize.
