I am trying to burn makai kingdom it came as MDS and MDF size 624 MB.
Using Dvddecryptor or ImgBurn I get the same message saying "wrong image format the image is in Mode 2/form 1/2448, the Dvd am using is mode1/2048.
The other thing is I am not sure if it is DVD or CD format.
I have swap magic 3.6 CD and DVD and used both of them to boot the game but no good after burnin it to CD or DVD!
My question is there away to change to form2/ Mode2 using Dvddecryptor or ImgBurn tools.
Makai Kingdom is a DVD game, although at the size you have, its most likely a DVDRip, meaning you would burn to CD. MDF & MDS are essentially Alcohol 120% image types, although technically you should be able to burn those with DVDecrypter, it might be best to use Alcohol.
However, what I'd do 1st is check that the person that's ripped it has done so correctly. Open up the image in IsoBuster & make sure that it is just a CD image, first & foremost, by checking to make sure that there is only the red booktype label.
Secondly, make sure that the system & sles/slus file media checks are set to the correct media type depending on your results from checking the book type.
You can check this by extracting those 2 files to your HDD, then running Sonix DVDScan Lite on the 2 files, which is available as a tool within Apache 3.0, or as a separate download from www.alucard.cc
If everything checks out, and it is a CD image, which has been correctly patched for CD, then use Alcohol to burn to CD.
If it still gives you problems, then you could use IsoBuster to open up the image file again, and convert it to bin/cue
After opening the image file with IsoBuster I found a red ISO booktype and it contain SLES size 1.65 MB and DATA.DAT 121 MB and some other files.
I tried converting the image into BIN/CUE using UltraISO and burned it but still no good. Now i have converted into ISO but still the same not a valid PS2 disc message!
The problem seems to continue everytime it try to boot a CD ps2 game using swapmagic 3.6 CD it gives me "not a valid PS2 disc"
By the way i am using high capacity TDK 800MB cds 40X but burning the image at 4X!
I have finall managed to play it. The problem is I used the wrong CD-R that was high capacity 800MB. SO went and bought TDK 700MB and burned the MDS using ImgBurn and it worked!
