I've been readin as much as I can on this forum, beings it has the best information I can find. Now that being said I've followed all the instructions, fowarded ports on the router and opened the ports on the firewall, (windows firewall disabled) and I'm still getting crappy DL and UL speeds (2kb/1kb).
I'm running
Zone Alarm pro
AVG Pro
Windows XP
all on my dell laptop
linksys router

What should I do next? I'm only looking for a moderate 20-30kb (moderate by most of your standards) BTW I did a dslreport speed test and my DL speed was 1015 my UL speed was 294 if this helps as a starting ground. thanks =)

Have you double checked to see if your windows firewall is off ? sometimes it'll automatically turn itself back on (i know, it sucks).

Also, what are you using to download? torrents? p2p ?

Yes its off. I'm now using Bit Tornado (just switched) I have it set for ports 17000-17050 and I have them fowarded on my router and open on my fire wall, I'm getting 5-10kb now but I'm sure my computer/internet is capable of more. also with my download I have 120 peers and 180 seeds with 9kb at the moment

[edit] Ok so I used portfoward.com and got better speeds by figuring out how to open ports with zone alarm, its up to 20-25 but its unstable w/ that speed. I mean unstable by it goes up there for a bit then back to 10-20. also 15-17kb of the download come from one user any other suggestions? thanks [edit]
