I've been trying to remove the 2-second pause between tracks when burning an audio disc. But every time, when the disc begins to burn, Nero changes the settings and re-inserts the 2-second pause.

I followed the instructions: Select Edit, Properties, and change the pause from 2 seconds to zero seconds. Same thing happens every time.

I'm burning disc-at-once, running Nero Burning ROM v7.0.0.0 under Windows XP Pro.

I believe there are two places to alter the space between tracks. If you are burning an Audio CD, under the General Options, there is a selection to remove the space between tracks. I haven't found a default setting where this can be changed, so you have to save each compilation. You can open this window with F7. There is also supposed to be a way to alter the amount of space between tracks, which I don't see right now.

Under CDA options, there is a "remove silence at the end of tracks" option, but I don't think that means between tracks.

I just use Nero Express and then check the box for no pauses.

Thanks, Saltgrass and arniebear, for the help. F7 brought up the window that allowed me to select the "remove pause between tracks" option.

Turns out that you are required to remove the pause between all tracks if you want to use that option.

I had tried to preserve the 2-second pause for a group of tracks at the end of the disc, and this is what caused Nero to reset the other tracks.

There's no good reason for this requirement, and it's not documented. It just appears to be a limitation of the program.
