Hi everyone,
I have a PS2 ver4 PAL with someone older chip( I don't know what is it, but I have one Boot CD Xploder ver 1.0 )
I have downloaded Final Fantasy X-2 USA NTSC version.
I try to burn this image, convert to PAL, search DNA code, backup to HDD, but I don't start this game...
When I put DVD into PS2, then DVD start rotation and after 5-10 sec. DVD stop.
My question is what to do to start play???

a set of Swap Magic discs may do it. Without knowing what chip you have there is no telling what it should do.
Some older chips were just what is known as "eject mods"
which stop the PS2 from resetting when you open it to swap discs with Swap Magic
Also it could be the way you are burning it, the speed you are burning it, the media you are burning it on, the firmware on your burner being outdated, and many other things.

I just use only Verbatim DVD-R or Imagine DVD+R media.
I burn DVD with DVD Decryptor with LG GSA-4120B(A117).

With Xploder I can start PSX or PS2 CD Backup game.
I know I have worst modchip then Messiah, because when I bought this chip(2001), Messiah was better then this.

It look like PS2 check DVD and then mechanics stop.
It's good reason to buy Swap Magic or new modchip??

Your Xploder is CD based, so can only boot CD based PS2 games. You need a DVD loader to boot DVD games. Best thing to do is buy Swap Magic. You'll get 2 discs; Swap Magic CD & Swap Magic DVD.
It might be possible though for you to use CogSwapLoader (which is CD based) & a high TOC refresh, assuming you have any store bought games with large TOC's to do that.

I try to play this game from HDD. Elfloader helps??
Exist some CD or some tools to run backup DVD?

you may also want to just replace the modchip with a newer and better version like DMS4 Pro SE
Or buy SWap Magic. If you have the money i would get the new mod chip installed. If no Swap Magic may do the trick for you.

None of those, they are all cheap crap
a good chip is $45-$55
DMS4 Pro SE- best if you ever want to add a hard drive, or want an integrated cheat device to play back ups with cheat with no need to buy AR Max or Gameshark

Matrix Infinity a top notch chip as well

Crystal Chip V1.1- with hacked firmware this chip is best for people who play online and do not want to manually patch their back up copies as this chip will do it for you.
