Hello all, this is my first post here: Noob alert

I have a new Samsung DL burner and I am trying to burn 6 gig of my .AVI files onto a DVD-R DL. No matter how I go at this Nero refuses to recognize that I have Dual layer (DVD-9) media loaded and it will not properly burn over 4.7gig properly (It shows 8 gig available, but it refuses to use it). It pops up red warnings that "the burn will not work properly" and damned if they aren't right. After the burn my Home Theater states "disc not recognized" or "no titles found". From what I've read any modern DVD reader should recognize and play DL media (is this true?)

Can someone help me burn 6 gig of .avi onto a DVD-R DL disc using Nero 6?

Thanks all!!!

I have NeroVision 4 form Nero 7, not Nero VisionExpress, but mine can recognize Dual Layer DVDs. I suppose you selected DVD-9 in the lower right hand corner?

Maybe post a log and take out your serial number.

Also, there is a note about version 3.1.0.11 and fixing a wrong calculation for DL media. Do you have at least that version?
