I have just burnt my first succesful backup and booted it using swap magic. I learned everything about backing up discs from this site and it was extremely helpful. First I burned a disc using a memorex piece of #$%@ disc and the disc skipped constantly. I go on this forum, and BAM! I find the answer to my problem right away and get some made in Japan Sony Media and my problem is fixed. Thanks so much for the help guys!

I second that - couldn't agree more!

I'm already showing off to my pals that i can play 'backups' and imports.... This site should be sponsored by swap-magic - i'm sure they get 90% of their business from here!

wow, it is nice to see people who actually thank the site.
Yes, a few years back when i first started out i knew nothing at all about backing up games. There were a lot of great people on this site who helped me and taught me most of what i know today and for that i am very thankful. And now i stay on the site so i can pass that knowledge onto other people who need it, giving back to the community that gave me so much.

Yeah its certainly nice to see threads like this once in a while. I started here about half a year ago, and I've learnt all my PS2 backing up from here (or links given by people here). Be nice if I can be like steimy and help out people here more, but doing research at uni makes it damn impossible to go on this site as often as I wanted ><
