Help backing up Rocky Ps2

Im having touble backing up my Rocky disc. Its scrtached and the drive is struggling to read it. using decrypter it gets 34% through then gives me an error message..any ideas? I am playing movie mode and it stops loading due to disc scratch...Hence I was gunna try and back it up onto a new disc...

Because the scratch is big enough that it freezes in both the PS2 and with your DVD burner you will have to replace it.
The only other option is to buy a disc resurfacing tool at a locat store like Best Buy or Circuit City and try that. But that may not work as it will take out small scratches but if this one is too deep there is no fixing it. That is why games should be backed up when they are new. So you can use the back up and not the original.
Plus unless you have a modded PS2 you would not be able to play the back up anyway.

Like Steimy Said buying a disc resurfacing tool may be the way to go...
You could also try bringing the game to your Local Used Game Store or Video Store.. They may have a resurfacing tool there and if you're lucky enough may fix it for ya for free or a couple bucks....
