this dvd dose not come out for release untill the 19 of june so not many people will be able to help on this movie, did you buy the movie? you work in a video store? this site is for asking questions about backing up the ones, dvd's that we own, do you know what i am saying? there is nothing special about the movie i did it with no problem, the reason i know this cuss i manage a video store. also you don't say what programs you have tryed to do anything with the disk, so a little more info would help ok?

Even DVD Shrink was able to rip this by itself. What are you using to back this up?

I found 16 blocks to be one of the new dvd's that when you do an explore, it has an extra file folder called Jacket or somthing. I have been running these through my video converter and they copy fine. I will have to try the latest AnyDVD and see what happens.
just my 2 cents on the issue.

OK, I just wasted 3 blanks on this DVD. All 3 backed up fine...but no sound on all 3 of them. Any ideas? I am using "1 Click Copy" with AnyDVD (6.0.1.1). Again runs through the process fine but doesn't seem back up the soundtrack at all.
Thanks.

I popped off a backup of 16 Blocks with DVD Decrypter and Shrink. Wound up with an i/o error first time but was just a dirty disk.
Otherwise got movie and alternate on one disk minus some languages.
Have a happy.

If you can get AnyDVD, run that in the background then use DVD Decrypter and put it to your hard drive. I think this has the macrovision encryption on it, could be wrong but you might need VobBlanker to get past it. Then use Shrink and then burn it and no problems.
I can't remember off the top of my head if I had to use the VobBlanker program or not but I should get into the habit of doing it to all my backup's because it gets rid of all the unnecessary stuff like trailers, subtitles, etc... If you wanna check it out just look in my sig.

Hey Bilg, no need to run AnyDVD with DVD Decrypter.
It won't hurt anything but it isn't necessary.

Burned 16 Blocks (movie only) this past Thursday using AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 -- copied fine. When AnyDVD started up, I didn't notice any "weird/unusual" protection listed. Good luck with your burning.
