Hi,
I've been all over this forum, Google, and the net and Im still confused. My current downloading (with Bittornado) is about 10 kb/s average down. I think my ports are being blocked because the circle is yellow and that indicates they are "firewalled" I have a Belkin 54G Wireless router and a WireSpeed duel connect from Bellsouth. The thing that trips me up is the Modem has a DHCP Server mode as well as the Router. I have the ports forwarded through Windows Firewall and the Belkin Router but still can't figure out if the Modem is interferring. I can post screenshots of the modems webpages and the Routers if needed. I can also provide more information if there is anything I forgot....Thanks a bunch :)

have u tried to create a static IP, that way the ports u forward arnt voided whenever ur IP is renewed? That was my problem, i never used to get a green light, but once i created a static IP, my dl speeds have more than tripled.

try Utorrent, cause u only need to use 1 port with it, and just put that port in ur router settings. I find Utorrent much more user friendly and relaible than BitTornado. Make an exception in windows firewall for that port, and u should b good to go

:) Thanks a ton...Utorrent is wayyyyyyyyy better.... Im getting average dl speeds of 38 kb/s :) I think that's about how fast it should be considering I have only about a 172 kb/s Upstream 1182 kb/s Downstream dsl connection. Thanks a ton :)

Bitt torrent is alot cooler now :) My average is 70 kb/s and it tops out at about 100 kb/s compared to when it would only top out at about 22 kb/s :) This rocks!! Thanks alot for all your help :)

So im guessing u dont have any DHT problems anymore, i.e. all ur ports are being forwarded correctly, green light.. Its nice to hear, cuase a lot of ppl cant get is straightened out for a looooooong time:)
PS - download peer guardian if u havent already, really protects u when u ar downloading. U can find it on aD:)

I don't see any lights on Utorrent but It appears to be working. When I set up Utorrent is said the port was working. Yea, I downloaded PeerGaurdian 2...From what I understand it helps you not get traced or something??Also Should I set it to block Gov, Ads, Spyware, Educational, P2p? Thats what I currently have. I've been trying to solve the port problem for a long time. But mostely just been tolerating 10 15 kb/s DLing times...

With regards to PG, block EVERYTHING. Although this does not gurantee ur safe from "them", it does do a great job of blocking all those random IPs that scan ur system.
On Utorrent u dont see that light in the bottom of the screen, right in the middle. Are u using Utorrent 1.5? Either way, congrats;)
