not really, unless there is something that is missing in 6. The only reason I bought version 7 was that it was free after rebates from BB right after turkey day last year, don't recommend upgrading unless there is something missing in 6.0 that you need.
Don't get me wrong, Nero is the bomb as far as burning goes, but why waste the extra money on something you really don't need unless there is an extra feature in Nero 7 that you can't live without.
I got them both and I think 6 is the more stable and better version. They junked up 7 for more TV and digital stuff. And you are right the 6.6.0.18 is the better version, the 6.6.1.4 incorporated parts of 7 in it like Home and it does not run as well. Just my opinion.
I have recently upgraded from Nero 6 to Nero 7, great program loads of extras, one problem. I use datasafe 16xspeed fullface printable DVD-R discs. All was ok under nero6, but nero7 will not write to them. I uninstalled and returned to Nero 6 which previously recognised the discs, but now does not. I have the latest firmware on my burner, (NEC 2500ag), Nero seems to recognise the discs but will not burn to them. Has anybody else had this problem,? And if so how did you resolve it? It is costing me a fortune in spoilt discs.
I absolutely agree. I "updated" to 7.2.0.3b from 7.0.8.2 and have had nothing but troube. Vision takes forever to load, there are movies it won't convert that previous versions would, and I have sound crackles in my movies. I clean uninstalled and reinstalled with no improvement. I reverted back to 7.0.8.2 and have had no problems.
