16X speed is not the best for doing games. You should stick with 8X as they will work much better.
Taiyo Yuden & Verbatim are really good
I have had great luck with Philips (also MCC)
Sony and Maxcell if made in Japan and not made in Taiwan

seems svp have cottened onto the fact, that buyers know a little bit about disks these days, hence the higher prices of the ty's/disks with mcc/ty dye in

I see that all the time. I go to my local store, and I see TDKs at about £20 for a pack of 25.. rip off eh? Next to nowhere stocks Verbatim discs, apart from Dixons/Curries which has just started stocking them! Only thing is, Verbatim aren't making any more 16x discs, which is a problem for those who can't run 16x discs.

I have to try a game on DVD+R 16X sometime. I just bought a pack on sale for doing movies just for kicks to see how they work. Bought Philips of course. Don't care what anyone says about them. I have used them for over 2yrs now for Xbox, PS2, and movies and have had fantastic results. Did my first movie on one the other day (Valiant- yes i know it's a kids movie but it was funny anyway) and it worked flawless, so i think i will try a game (Xbox and PS2) just for kicks and see how they work. The new burner booktyping them all to DVD-Rom may help too. That new BenQ burner seems to have no problems with any media i have thrown in it so far. Even the old printable crappy TDK discs i put a few movies on worked, and my old Sony had problems with those.
