What type of media are you using? That is normally what the problem is whenever a game isn't running all that great

I'm a noob

my friend has it and it backs up just fine, so it is most likely what everyone has said, cheap media.

Hope someone can help me with urban chaos, does urban chaos need to be re-built for swap magic ? I burnt the game on sony DVD-R (which works with all my back ups) but the game will just not get past the loading screen. when I tried to rebuild it with gnie experimental i still only got as far as the loading screen.
Thanks in advance.

Nope. No rebuild required. Works perfectly as a 1:1 DVD copy, and I use SM2.0, so if I can boot it with that, then it should boot perfectly well with newer versions.
Try a different brand of -R. Just cos the ones you're using now have worked in the past, doesn't mean that they always will. They might change the dye slightly, or you've got a bad batch. I've had to change disc type about 4 or 5 times since I started burning backups, cos the discs just stopped working in my PS2.

In fact, this'll fry your noodle;

RITEK G05's never used to work in my PS2, and RITEK G04's worked flawlessly.
Now, G05's work flawlessly, and G04's don't work, or previously burnt games on that dye take ages to load!!
Figure that one out!

Cheers ace1uk, burned game on a Tesco -r, (as that was the only other blanks i had) and surprisingly worked perfect. Tried burning other games on Tesco disks in past but never had any success. Must be something to do with the weather! (or the football) Thanks again, off to try the online mode now.

pokernuka, try here http://teammodders.com/download.php? action=file&file_id=75
I used to have same prob only NTSC to PAL, found this link on these forums.
I too have a problem with urban chaos and that is trying to patch it for online play (pal), when I use windip and select image off hard drive, i get an error when reading iso, but the game plays perfect offline. Windip has never let me down in the past and i can't seem to find an updated version, if there is one.
thanks
