Frostwires decent, give that a go if you want, I suggest you try your hand at torrenting, once you get hooked you'll never go back :)
Heres some good clients:
Well, all the clients do the same thing, its all down to personal preference at the end of the day, there are some simelarities and differences
but its personla preference that win's it, I prefere uTorrent myself.
BitCommet:
http://www.bitcomet.com/doc/download.htm
Azereus:
http://azureus.sourceforge.net/
uTorrent:
http://www.utorrent.com/download.php
ABC [Yet Another Bittorrent Client]
http://pingpong-abc.sourceforge.net/
BitTornado
http://bittornado.com/
Pick your client, then you can use any of theese torrent search engines to get your files:
http://www.isohunt.com
http://torrents.to/
http://www.bitoogle.com/
http://www.btbot.com/
http://www.torrentz.com/
http://72.232.9.147/list_news.html
http://www.torrentreactor.to/
http://filelist.org/
http://www.torrentspy.com/
http://www.torrentportal.com/
http://www.mininova.org/
http://www.bitenova.org/
http://www.torrentbox.com/
http://www.bittorrent.com/
http://torrentscan.com/
You'll find the best stuff at private trackers, theese sites are invite only, you need to recive an invite from someone on the inside to gain mebership,WARNING You are not allowed to ask for invites at AfterDawn.Com.
Stick with public trackers, the list of them goes on really, once you've installed your client, just search for what you want in any of thoose sites and download the .torrent file, TomMelee's BitBible explains everything else you need to know, you can download his great guide here:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/341946#2049889
That should cover everything, theres plenty of other torrent guides here incase you hit any snags:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/18
If theres anything else you need to know just ask, remember if you don't know the answer its ot a dumb qeustion!! :)

you could give Shareaza a try its a P2P site that also handles torrent files. (Best of both worlds!). Also garanteed no popups , adware or spyware with Shareaza
http://www.shareaza.com/?Version=2.2.1.0
There is no such thing as "U.S English"

eh...lol...Your not actually serious right.Follow some quick advise.Get a torrent client for your torrents and leave shareaza out.For music shareaza can do fine but not torrents.
hell shareaza isn't even the best regular p2p app try limewire, morpheus etc.
It's true shareaza doen't have spyware like morpheus and the other but it also has no peers and poor results.

Get yourself protected and download Peerguardian 2.
Right now you could be connecting to big companies and not even know it,
untill you get a notice in the mail about you downloading illegal content...

anybody know of any p2p apps I won't get sued for using? lol... We just had a rash of people in my area have charges brought against them for simply downloading music. Most of what I listen to is not protected anyhow (drum and bass, breaks, etc.) but alot of my wife's music is.. We have been downloading off and on quite a bit using just various torrents and p2p programs without any worries. After these lawsuits.. I just don't view it the same anymore. I am willing to pay a lil.. but not alot. I tried searching for such a program but everything I find has stipulations. (in other words it doesn't stop w/ just the monthly fee) they also want some more change for burning rights. If I wanted music to listen to while I sat @ the computer I would just que winamp...(and tell them what they can do w/ there 9.95 a month rate just for listening) and if I didn't feel that was control enough I would use LastFM (they let you skip tracks as if it were really in the cd player)*makes rhapsody a total rip-off by the way* *gotta love th@... but what about a site that lets you download and burn all for a flat rate? Does that exist? I'm the kinda person that never knows what I want to listen to until I've heared it..
so its not practical for me to pay 99cents a song if I don't even know if I'm going to like the content, and as for some of the sites that let you hear a sample... wtf good is 30 seconds if your a drum and bass head like myself and half the stuff you get is mixed by the hour? That 30 seconds might be great but what if the rest of the album sounds like a trainwreck? Now I do know ways to just go and get music right now... no problem, no questions asked... but what would you suggest to the slighty (I don't want to get sued) worried person?
Kinda makes you want to start up a huge VPN huh?
Anyways.. as usual.. any feedback is appreciated...
Fiend, I just looked up Peerguardian 2, sounds good... does it work?

If it wouldn't work, it wouldn't be used by millions of filesharers, including probably everyone on AD, now would it ? ;)

in comment to peer gaurdian:
Fiend,
In this link you will notice gogochar's sig.... http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/350845 letting you know your ISP and what not... I have peer gaurdian up and running... shouldn't peer gaurdian prevent this? And if not... do you not think that if something as simple as a sig in afterdawn can retrieve this information that the RIAA can't? Excuse my being naive, but seems a little phishy

Don't worry about thoose sig's, there from a site called danesoft, he cannot see your IP, only you can.
All PG2 does is filter out bad IP's from connecting to you, anti p2p company's and the sort, so you have less worry whilst sharing :)
Forget about the danesoft sig's...

@ animeist
Azureus isn't making the downloads themselves slow. It?s the torrents your using (need more seeders probably) or your settings on Azureus are not setup correctly. You might have it set to have a limit of "x" amount of Kb/s to download and Kb/s to upload etc. Azureus is by far the best torrenting program. You might also want to do port forwarding if you have firewall setup. I believe all the best torrent sites and p2p programs have been listed. Defiantly go with isohunt, torrentspy, etc. If anime, check out boxtorrents.com [plenty of great fan translations and various goodies].
