I got my psp to emulate 2.5, but I get error ? disk can not be started wrong region?. From 2.5 I can open browser and everything looks fine but I can not run devhuk from it?. Please help out?

No u cant run it from the 2.5 browser, nobody can. Its still a program loaded on ur 1.5, and u will always get an error:cannot start message, no matter what u tr to boot.

I have monster hunter but in the usdir folder there is just 1 file (data.bin) does anybody know how i can extract it so i can change the prx files?

Plane and simple, once it loads to 2.5, should it automatically load the game? Do you have to do anything else to load game?

Once u boot the game, u should not have to do any browsing on the 2.5 browser. If u do, that means ur boot settings are incorrect or the game is not patched right. The only time u should be on the 2.5 browser is after u exit a game that u loaded with devhook, but thats only if u want to.
So plain n' simple-it should automatically load.

svtstang, I have 3 ISO in the ISo folder on the disk. When I boot in to emulator for 2.5, there is nothing for me to run these ISO's...you are telling me that once you boot up in the emulator, automaticly loads in to the game? that is it? nothing to click on? not a single button to run the game?

Thats exactly what i am saying. When u select the boot option "boot XMB" or whatever, ur psp does a quasi reboot and then begins 2.5 emulation. Once this happens, the iso will boot automatically granted the iso is legit and u r using the correct boot settings.

With same settings as indicated mine does boot to 2.5 but ISO does not start?it just stays in 2.5 and that is it, nothing happens?

What game are u trying to play? Have u patched it or tryed patching it? Most games require minor patching to get to play.

Fifa 2006, Fifa Street 2, Fight Night 3, Splinter Cell. They should all be already patched and they came with devhook loader. With 4.0 I can get in to 2.5 emulator, but with 4.1 it freezes up when it is trying to boot up 2.5. I am not sure how to check if they are patched or not, but it is very low probability of this happening since they already came with loader and instructions.

If they came with instructions, then whats the problem? Heres an easy test, does ur Fight Night 3 have the update folder in it still? If it does, im pretty sure tht ur iso's are not patched.

It is 360 Mb, and id does not have upgrade folder. My problem is that I do follow instruction and I did try with .4 and .41 (one listed on the first post), and I can not run any of them?. I am sure that some other people had same or similar problems, and I am wondering if anyone has found any solutions or reason why this is happening?

after that make sure all devhook folders are in the right place, other than that, im not sure why u are having trouble loading the iso's

No, I do not think so, I have tryed devhook from this thread (First post), and also .4 that I got from the game itself. Put it on the disk, it loads up, select ISO, set the setings run... with .4 it boots to emulator and I can see and run stuff in 2.5, but I can not run the ISO, with .41 included with this thread, it just frezes up when 2.5 loads...I am starting to think that it could be my "fake" Sony 2 G disk, but I an sure that I am not the only one that has this type of the disk....

Do iso's run when u use other loader like dax or fastloader? I really want to figure out what is going wrong.

Yes, I do not have any problems with any other game. I was reading some posts about dev hook and some people indicated that they have problems with fake sony MS?that is why I am think that could be the problem. I think that I have tried everything 4 different ISO?s, 2 different dev hooks, formatting ? only thing that I have not tried is changing MS. My original 512 is in my camera with my parents in Cuba, so when they get back on Sunday I will give it try with that stick?.

One more thing that I will try in the morning is to load NBA 2006 and SOCOM, that I know that work (played them before with other loaders), and see if I can get them going with dev hook with same settings?

Try that, or find a new stick. U can find 2 gig stick for $60 now. I am sorry that i cant help u out, let me know if there is anything else u need assistance with:)

For whoever was asking me about Tomb Raider. MY file is 1.37 GB, and im using DevHook 0.41d , No prx, fix regular setting to load iso. Works without a hitch. I love DevHook, thanks Booster.
