The part about needing to modify ISOs seems to have been lost on all the people who have been busy seeding / posting them to Usenet, etc. Is there a faq? Or a resource for patches? ;p

What is PSPU Thirst? Im not even sure how psp-hacks and ps2nfo are still open with all the sh!t on those sites.

Hi, I am trying to solve my problem and I need some help?can you please test this out for me? can you try to run ISO on devhook with out UMD disk in the drive? Also can you please try to run ISO on devhook with UMD movie in the drive? Do you need any kind of loader with devhook?

svstang,I have read that you can use any UMD, but my question was regarding if someone can physically test this. I do not have any game UMD, so I can not test it by myself. I have read on one other forum instructions regarding running devhook, and in notes section it was indicated that you should put UMD game, that is why I am asking?

LOL, didnt see u ask if some1 could test this. I have a spider man UMD that i use for all loaders. Did I pass the test?

I assume you are talking about spider man movie? If that is what you had, than I can rule that out and move to another thing to test out.

Yes i am talking about the spider man movie. You should just post all the steps you are taking, would be a lot easier to help than doing this all day.

1. formatted mem disk (512 Mb, Original Sony)
2. Copy dh and PSP folders
3. created ISO folder
4. put ISO in it
5. lunched devhook
6. selected 2.0 UMD, 2.0 and 2.5 firmware, XMB reload, click on start
7. it reboots in to 2.5, but game does not start.

These are instructions I falowed and this is why I have asked about the game UMD
...
Chaos Zero's DevHook 0.41d ISO Tutorial!
IMPORTANT
Do you already have DevHook files on your memory card?
Do the following:
Format your memory stick or delete the dh folder.
You may also want to delete the DEVHOOK and DEVHOOK% folders under PSP\GAME.
1. Intstall my DevHook 0.41d ISO Boot Version.
2. Put your ISO file in the ISO folder on the MS Root.
3. Load up DevHook 0.41d.
4. Let it load until the DevHook menu appears.
5. Change 'Target ISO' to your ISO.
6. PSP will 'restart' and load the target ISO.
Booting .CSO
1. Exact same as above!
That's it!
To change ISOs, press 'Home' + RightTrigger in the 2.5 menu. Wait approx. 7 seconds for a new game to appear.
Press 'Home' + RT again if no game loads after 8 seconds.
If you try and start the game and it doesn't go, there are a number of reasons/solutions:
1. The game is 1.5, change the 2.xx -> 2.00 setting in DevHook to 'No Change'
2. Use an older loader eg DAXZISO.
3. The ISO is incomatible *
4. The ISO may have to be fixed with new PRX files. *
Note: When you see the 2.5 xmb menu, DEVHOOK IS LOADED!!!
YOU MUST HAVE A GAME UMD IN THE DRIVE OR THE SAMPLE DISC.
WHEN YOU SEE THE MENU, THERE WILL BE NO GAME UNDER THE 'Game' HEADING.
PRESS 'Home' + Right Trigger AND YOUR ISO GAME WILL APPEAR AFTER A FEW SECONDS OF WAITING!

you should have a dh and DEVHOOK folder in the root, and a different DEVHOOK and DEVHOOK% in your GAME folder. You have all that taken care of?

Guys sorry if i'm coming up again with this problem as many have done as well but i still cannot get smack vs raw to work with the loader. It still freezes and restarts my psp after the "press start button" screen. I've been searching all night and found nothing to say how it's fixed. I've used the ripkit fix as well to make it small enough for 1gb ms duo. Is it that hard to make it work or should i make a better iso from my umd? thnx

From what I have read, ppl play that game straight from UMD, and push start right when the game loads to avoid that particular problem. Im not sure about the iso, maybe check out psp-hacks cause ive seen a few threads devoted to that question.

Put the DEVHOOK and DEVHOOK% in your GAME folder. Sorry for the confusion, that extra DEVHOOK folder is not required for this, I had it from an earlier version of devhook. Again, sorry.

If you can go in to the 2.5 xmb it is going to be your iso.
Do you fix the iso that you try? because some games need prx change.Go over to ps2nfo.com and get some fixes for the iso game that dose not work.

Juan, you keep osting but dont make any sense. If you boot devhook and instead of the iso loading u get taken to the 2.5 browser, that means somwthing went wrong. At that point, clicking on the UMD icon will not boot the game. We have mentioned numerous times about prx swaps also, just look on this or the last page and you will see a few references to prx swaps.

so do i still need to do prx swap because how come all the games work with devhook 0.41 but cant load on devhook 0.41d i know ive changed all the files required but when i load the screen go blank and then nothing happens
