You extract the EBOOT.BIN using UMDGen. Then you make a folder called crypted in the root of your memory stick and copy the EBOOT that you extracted there. Then you use DecryptPRX to decrypt it. After that, rename it to BOOT.BIN and go to PSP_GAME\SYSDIR in UMDGen and replace the BOOT.BIN in there with the one you just made.

I'm getting umdgen will not extraxt because it dosn't come from the iso.

edit thats the erros umdgen is giving me.

NBA ballers rebound should work with DevHook, try running it untouched. If that doesn't work then you will have to do this.

EDIT: Try using an older version of UMDGen or VCDROMx is an alternative.

help anyone plz

i have a 1.5 psp
i have loads of new games"iso's" tomb raider,loco roco,socom running well on it using devhook "im a bit of newbie to this but following various guides its all working fine
the thing is i want to play fifa world cup 06 and ive seen that i need the star wars battle front files to do this ....this is where i need the HELP....WHAT DO I DO NEXT....

i have the star wars battle front2 iso on my comp, and also umd gen

it just what do i do next
could someone please just give me the next steps of what to do as this is driving me Crazy

@snakeplis- Open up your SWBF2 ISO with UMDGen, then extract the PRX files from PSP_GAME\USR_DIR. Then open up your fifa world cup 06 ISO and replace the PRX files with the PRX files you extracted from the SWBF 2 ISO.

I use UMDGen.

So are you sure that you are selecting the EBOOT.BIN, right-clicking and selecting extract selected? It should work.

Yep thats what I did.

Error umdgen will only extract files from the ISO. One or more of the selected files has been updated or replaced and remain on the harddrive These will be skiped.

Are you sure you are not trying to extract to the desktop?
Try extracting somewhere else.

That error pops up right after I right click and click extract slected. I don't even get a chance to put it any where before that pops up.

guys i just downloaded atonishia story EU version and started my devhook but it couldnt saw the iso from it how come.i can see all isos except astonishia story can anyone help? or do i need the USA version?if yes can anyone post a link for right prx plz? cause every time i search for battlefront 2 prx theres not a single topic about it >_>

im trying to get gta to run. i put devhook on like u sed and used the settings but when i press start it just goes black then shuts off. do u have to keep the mphgameloader on or anything like i used to run gta before? i have read many threads but i cant seem to see wot i am doing wrong. a the moment i just have the folder iso and then the dev folders. is there anything else needed because this is gettin annoyin lol. thanks

You only use the SwB2 prx that the game you what to fix has.don't put all of them.
GTA need the original prx to work whit devhook.

a) Is Devhook Hookboot's replacement?

b) If so can you set up Devhook to boot games from the Main menu --> Game --> Memory Stick? (like hookboot could)

Whit Devhook you go in to the 2.5 FW main menu and loaded the iso from there.(like if you had a 2.5 psp and 1.5)
