Hi all, recently I have been getting into all this ISO stuff...and well I think I kindof came to a dead end so I was hoping for some pointers.

I have been trying everything to get Capcom Collections .iso to work on my 1.5 psp, but its a no go.

I notice I am supposed to rename the files to make it work, and well I am not sure how to do that.

1) I have tried using Gherudos' Capcom Collection Ripkit fix, yet no matter what, his program is unable to see my .iso *shrug* doesn't make any sense to me.

2) I have also tried replacing the files with UMDGen, and well again no luck

Games such as Gradius and Exit work perfectly on my system, yet for this game it gets hosed as soon as it begins to load, then crashes.

Apparently I am missing somthing completly in this whole PRX file patching to allow this game to run via DevHook 4.2 so any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Did you decrypt and replace the EBOOT.BIN?
Try decrypting the PRXs instead of replacing them. To do this you will have to use DecryptPRX, download from here:

Well I did the decrypt of the prx files, but im not too sure what you mean by
Quote:
replace the EBOOT.BIN
Would I have to edit the Capcom_Collections.iso with UmdGenerator and change the eboot on the iso or somewhere else?

If so, how do you go about doing this? Im new and well most of the time if I get somthing to work on my PSP its a F.M. heh

Check my guide :
http://www.eternal-psp.a22.biz/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=6

Look through method 1 to see how to decrypt and replace the eboot.bin. However this was written for the old loaders, so ignore where it says "rename it to BOOT.BIN and replace the BOOT.BIN in the ISO with the one you just decrypted". Instead you do not have to rename it. Just replace the decrypted EBOOT.BIN with the one in your ISO using UMDGen.

@Erick

All you need to do is swap out the prx's with 1.5's. Thats all, very simple.

So for the DevHook, you don't need to decrypt the eboot.bin ?

What about decrypting the PRXs can you do that instead of replacing them?

You can, but IMO that would take longer than just swapping them. Lately, it seems people wouldnt be capable of doing either method lol. I havent tried decrypting prx's, but I will for sh!ts n giggles.

Easier said than done...

I thought I tried that...but im not sure which files to mess with and where to get the 1.5 files from.

Arent you supposed to trick the ISO to think its a 1.5 and not a 2.6?

I dont know really, im still scratching the surface on ISOs and such...hell only recently did I find out ISO is a "image" type of file.

*edit*

Now when your saying switching out the prx to 1.5, are you talking about the files encoded on the capcom iso? or the ones found here on the m0:\dh\kd or here m0:\dh\250\flash0\kd

We mean the ones in the ISOs.

Check my new firmware 2.5+ ISO guide for more info:

(I kno the text formatting is a bit stuffed up, but I will fix that soon).

Like eternalis said, the prx's in the iso yourself. i checked out his tut, it is very well put together and explains everything. It is a simple process, and once you do it the first time you will be a pro. After reading eternalis's tut, post again if you are still confused.

Alright, I got the street raider prx's

yet according to UmdGen v2.00 , there are prxs that are there specificly for capcom games alone, such as
FRONTEND.prx
AVENGERS.prx
BIONICC.prx
BLACKTIG.prx
BLOKBLOK.prx
C1941.prx
CAPTCOMM.prx
FFIGHT.prx
ect.

For those I leave alone, yet change Videocodec.prx audiocodec.prx Libatrac3plus.prx mpegbase.prx and mpeg.prx right? Well the files found on street raiders for these 5 files are like how i wrote, yet the ones UmdGen show for Capcom_Classics.iso are as 0_Videocodec.prx 1_Audiocodec.prx 2_Libatrac3plus.prx 3_Mpegbase.prx and 4_mpeg.prx

When i switch the prx files to I rename the new ones to match the old?

Yep rename them. Otherwise the PSP wouldn't load the PRXs.

Still exactly the same end product.

While in the firmware 2.5 it shows under UMD the that it recognizes that the Capcom game is there. So I hit X to load it and the m0 lite flickers and the screen goes black except "Now Loading" on the bottom right, and then it just stops. I can still hit home and back out of it, but the iso will just hang there.

The street rider prx's wont work on Capcom Classics, you need 1.5 prx's such as battlefront 2. Using these, you dont need to rename anything, just replace the 4 or 5 that you can, and you are good to go.

There you go, now you have no reason for not getting Capcom Classics working.

Thanks for the link eternalis:)

Alright, saving with UmdGen and placing it on the m0: again. If only the process was alittle faster, I wouldn't mind it so much heh.

Is there a faster way to put files on the m0? Produo reader?
