Yeah, you could always buy a USB 2.0 PCI card. But its price is not worth it.

Then your ISO is probably bad. Have you tried any other ISOs?

Well, other than that ISO, all i have are a few 1.5 versions that work even with fastloader7.0
Exit and Gradius which both work without any problems
and Metal Gear Solid Graphic Novel, which I havnt tried messing with yet (wont work without messing with it as I have found out already)
*edit*
with the graphic novel it came with a .ppf file which said in a readme it would make it work in devhook .41d when patched, yet I dont know how to do that
This would be my name but its 10 letters long and AD only allows 9 :P

Open up the graphic novel using UMDGen. Go to Tools-->Apply PPF patch to ISO. Select the ppf patch and click OK. Save the ISO and you are done.

get the new Umdgen 3.02
for copcom Well if you look at the prx there called 0_VIDEOCODEC.PRX etc so the ones you get from SWBF2(VIDEOCODEC.PRX) need to be renamed the same.Put them in the same folder where they are in the game that you are makeing work.

Well thats what I did juan, but then again it might not have worked because i had UMDgen 2.0 instead of the newest, doubtful though. I believe its just a bad ISO.
NEways I got Metal Gear Graphic Novel to work after it patched. Cool stuff, I get to sleep now :)

Did you rename all PRX files capital letters?(they have to be the same as originals)
Try the new UMDgen or VcdromX 3.6
or you can get a fix for copcom at ps2nfo.com

Can I get devhook to start as soon as the psp is turned on so my son doesnt have to do anything. I know devhook can autorun once it's loaded but my lad will fiddle with settings. And if i load devhook to use ISO's i can do the home and L/R button to swap iso's is there a shortcut to allow the use of the original umd under the hooked firmware, without restarting devhook and changing the settings.
Hope that made sense.

If you put the psp in sleep mode(do not restart) devhook will stay in 2.5 FW. you need to restart devhook to change from iso to UMD.

ok, sorry to be a pain one other thing, ive got devhook with usb ive set up the type b driver on windows etc... i know it works cos i used umddump via usb and it worked. when i load an iso through devhook it shows the iso in the list, i tell it to start and the FW2.5 emu loads up and shows the umd as the iso game i.e Lumines, NFSU Rivals etc.. which is great but tell it run and usbhostfs shows device connected again and the screen goes blank and turns off (these games and settings all work when the games are loaded from mem stick)

They are older games, so it may be best to use umdemulator and mphGL to play these.
Do you have the firmware files installed correctly?

As i said the games all run from the mem stick but don't work remotely through usb. None of them. I know talkman and monkey ball don't because they use usb features but lumines should and gta. I've got dev hook0.42b with firmware 2.5 files and usbhostfs with the .prx in place. Can anyone give the name of a game that does definitely work thru usb and tell me what settings were used please.

do it yourself or search the net, its out there. Get the eboot and extract the .psar, then use the firmware downloader. There are ways to do things. People really need to learn how to help themselves.
