Hello i have a pretty good computer( better specs then the playstation 2)
and i was wondering if it is possible to play pressed playstation 2 games on a pc using a standard dvd-rom drive and an emulator?
I know that you can emulate a copied version of a game on your
Everywhere i look for this i get links telling me that you cannot play burned games on a ps2 so any help would be greatfully appreciated

No, it doesn't matter how good your computer is, you can't do that. The emulator available today is far from perfect to run PS2 games without problems on a computer

unless 10 fps is ur idea of a good time, i wouldnt recommend it any ps3 emulator either. Maybe in a year or 2 lol

and by the way, the PS2 aren't very high. The biggest problem is that the CPU is 128bits while 64bits computer's CPU just beggins in the market (I mean that standard computer are equip with).
The CPU speed is about 300mhz and the GPU is like a Geforce 4 Ti

there is this program that lets u play ps1 games on computer. Im not sure if it works for ps2 games though.

I managed to get the PS2 emulator (was playing Marvel VS. Capcom 2 - yes I know old game) running at an OK speed... using one of the super computers I have access to -__- I guess it won't be able to run on a normal computer (like what I am using now...) at full speed for a while longer

I still dont see the point of the ps2 emu. ps2 is still up and kicking, just get a ps2 and dont worry bout it. It is understandable for ps1 and systems before ps1, cause the hardware tends to malfunction.

Well some people always prefer to play games on the PC even though they have a PS2 sitting right next to them, others just don't want to spend the money to buy a PS2 :)

y would u have ps2 games and not own a ps2? it doesn make sence. besides spending money on an emulator and a ps2 is the same thing. who cares if ps2 is a little more expensive it has better graphics.
