As for not getting the answers you THINK you need, here's a hint
once a modem works, it works, it can't be made to "go faster, it doesn't work like that.
the only way you can download faster, is to get a better package/deal from your ISP.
Your problem is your possibly your firewall, your ISP blocking torrent traffic, the torrent client you use, OR the fact that you use public torrent sites.
Any answers to questions about those possible problems can be found it TomMelee's excellent bittorrent bible, which is available through a link in his sig, and are also to be found readily available in this forum if you bother to take some time and look for them.
as for answering your other question, i already told you to search on the forum and LOOK IN THE PS2 SECTION AS IT HAS ALL THE ANSWERS.
If you're too lazy to do that, well to bad.

In order: Yesh, I nominated this THREAD as trainwreck of the week, because, well, to make a similie, it VEERS OFF TRACK SO MUCH.
Last time I saw, the forum search function was temporarily disabled, dunno if that's still how it is or not.
As for just about everything else you asked, click the first link in my sig, find the button that says "Free", and click it, then wait for your download to start.
Possible double post here, sorry, my browser's acting up.

Yeh lol, it went from encryption to gmail invites to paying for senior status to playing downloaded ps2 games, has my vote for sure :)

In other news, I've taken down my old personal site and I'm redoing it entirely w/ textpattern. As soon as I work out some issues regarding preventing hotlinking, the BT Bible'll be coming OFF rapidshare! Wewt.
Now if I could just figure out some way to get a thousand people a day to click my adsense ads.

I have comcast hi-speed 6megs per second connect with both Norton System Works firewall and ofcourse Windows XP pro firewall. I have my ports open, have the exception for Utorrent and yet the best download speed I can get is 114kbps and that is only occassionally. The average speed is 30kbs. How can I increase my download speeds? What is my download speed limite at 6megs per second.

All your questions have been answered before, especially the ones about the PS2, and all the answers you need can be found by using the forum search.
Is it truely that difficult to have a look yourself?
Do we honestly need to spoonfeed you every single answer?

I love this thread.. p2p speed issues..want to test out max speeds..find a good new torrent with lots of peers. Then play about with the number of global connections and just about all the other performance related things. Or just live with it. I'm not quite sure why we're helping someone who wants to download ps2 games. Smells of piracy to me,,,Aharrr Jim lad.. You fetch the goose grease. I'll take off me wooden leg.. lol

why has everyone stopped writing in my thread?
it was entertaining to see what you guys thought of me and my questions my science teacher doesnt like me questions either.
do you want to know why well this is a true story.
we were in our science class discussing global warming and how the increased amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere was adding to the green house effect!
and i asked a question a pretty sensible one if you ask me any way what i asked was "could you suck all the carbon dioxide out of the air with a giant vacuum cleaning device?" great question eh?
she, the teacher thought i was joking, but i was seriouse dead serious, maybe we could do that? who knows?
